I'm having a hard time finding this directory via ssh: /Library/Skrew/Video
I guess this is where you install the mp4(s) but I don't see a Skrew directory in the Library directory. I even tried making my own directories and installing them but to no avail. Anyone?

I cant get mine to update, keeps saying "package download failed", Ive tried all the usual things to fix it like, refreshing sources, clearing queue, turning power off then on and turning off wifi and using edge. Nothing works, anyone have another idea? thanks alot everyone!!

When I try to install SkrewCommon I keep getting "main script execution failed" error :( I've tried Restarting and clearing queue but it does not help. I never had this problem before, all other apps i can install just fine.. very weird. If anyone know what's wrong or how to fix this, please let me know.

How did you guys jailbreak? ziphone? Just wondering if this app requires BSDSubsystem and perhaps you don't have it. ziphone installs it upon jailbreaking.

I've used ziphone version 2.6 to jailbreak it. I have BSD Subsys 2.1 installed. I even installed some BSD fix, but it did not help.

I already tried with some things that should help with main script execution failed like codes like chmod +s applications/Installer.app/Installer/ (now out of my mind).
But they didn´t work.
I´ve now rebuildet my ipod touch 16gb FW1.1.4. four times!:angry:
One time my Mails.app won´t open correctly...

But after many methodes i´ve it on my iPod!!!
Sry I don´t know how to do it correctly, but you should try all methodes.

yah, mine just says "Error - Package Download Failed!". i got this same message when trying to update to version 0.7. pretty damn annoying. i installed screwcommon so it should work, any ideas for this?

Try clearing out your que and then installing the vwallpaper now that you have SkrewCommon.

By the way, does anyone know what the new SkrewCommon has? It says not to install it, or something of that nature. Anyone know what's up with it? I'm scared to install it cuz Skrew's apps are nothing short of awesome but they can really screw you up (no pun intended).

i finally got mine to work somehow. i refreshed my sources a bunch of times, turned off the phone after each install, and after about 20 times trying to update to v0.8 it finally worked. lots of different wallpapers, i like the waves one a lot and currently am using. so to anyone having trouble, just keep trying, it eventually should work.

I was curious what the size of the video needed to be and how to truncate it. I tested myself and found that quicktime will do both quite nicely! The size is the same as a static wallpaper - 320x480. I'm going to make up a couple and as soon as I find a place to host them, I'll share!

Yup - I had never used iMovie before - but was just taking clips I did with iPhone Video Recorder, throwing 'em in iMovie, losing the sound and trimming them down to a favorite section, then exporting them out at the iPhone screen orientation. There are probably better and cleverer ways to do it, but it woks for me :)

I found a really great application that will convert .mov(s) to the correct size for the vWallpaper. Really easy to use. Just open the file, export to mpeg-4 and set the frame size to 320x480.

I had vwallpaper, skrewcommon with source i.danstaface.net everything was working fine. I installed the NES on my ipod, then later that day I want to change my vwallpaer and the screen was all black could not see the settings or anything. I decided to uninstall it to see if that fixed the problem once I try to reinstall, I typed in the source i.danstaface.net and I cannot find skrecommon or vwallpaper. Please help me I am so mad, is there anything wrong with the source:angry:

I've put a video into the directory using Cyberduck but I can't get it nor the 2 that come stock with vWallpaper to work. I've disabled SMB Prefs but to no avail. Is there something I'm not doing that I should?

I would try to convert to .mov if you can't get .mp4 to work. I believe those are the only 2 file types that will work.
