I just downloaded iRadio for the first time. I have had FlyTunes since the very first day and I find it to be acceptable but very average, so I thought all radio apps were the same.
I was wrong.
What is the story with iRadio?
I can't even begin to download all the categories that they have. They must have literally thousands. Every station I went to seemed to be a real radio station.
But it has to be the most confusing and disorganized interface I have ever seen!
No favorites. No editing. No instructions or explanations.
I am not sure: Is this app as great at it appears to be?
It seems to me to be the greatest radio app out there and it is constructed like a pile of S.
Inquiring minds would like to know.
Good Day

ya its a good app lots of radio stations.. i think its from shoutcast.com. i had it on my modded xbox, but i do think it needs a going over.. it eats battery very quick & a favorites section be nice... its as great as it appears to be. just needs a little fixing up... record button be nice..too work with AVplayer or some other media player...hmmmm all in one media player be nice.... seeipod + iradio+AVplayer+download movies off google video or any other site, with media playlist....

They have not updated it in a long time, and it needs great updates. It's fairly buggy, but once you know how to work it, it works just fine. To save you from some frustration, I'll copy a statement I made (http://modmyifone.com/forums/showthread.php?p=178246#post178246) awhile ago concerning the volume issue:
I came across very frustrating sound problems - it was way too low! Sometimes it would be great, then if got my new mail sound, it would go low again.
Thank you to the gurus on this forum! I got it to work perfectly now:
I load iRadio, pick my station, then the sound is too low of course... I press home button (iRadio station is still streaming) go to itunes, pick a song, press pause so that it doesn't play, then adjust volume... I then can go back to my home screen or iRadio, lock my iPhone, and I can now adjust the volume with the iPhone volume speakers on the side.
This I found via the forums, and before this, it was very, very frustrating. iRadio is MUCH better than FlyTunes, which hardly supports enough radio stations. I also noticed it stopped supporting ESPN radio, which is a must for me. Well, that and Rush Limbaugh.
I would check the above linked thread if you are having issues.

Thanks
I am not having any issues except confusion trying to figure out what stations are what, and what some of the categories mean.
I will check out your link anyway and do a little more searching in this forum..
Thanks again.
Good Day
