So anyways there is this Iphone for sale near where I live and I'm thinking of buying however the sleep/wake button doesn't work nor does the home button. Now I know you can buy both buttons on ebay for cheap and I'm quite handy so I could install them but here is the question what other than simply the button parts could go wrong.. yet still allow everything else to work.... logic bored.. ?

The... buttons... don't work??? Um man, you may be handy, but don't even bother going down that road. This is not a user-serviceable device unless you work for Apple. Find another one.

Well actually to replace ribbon cables and harness is that difficult as seen here I just don't wanna fix that and it be something else.
