Citi analysts Richard Gardner and Yeechang Lee are predicting that Jobs will announce the 3G iPhone during his keynote at WWDC in San Francisco. But that’s not all they’re predicting. They’re also predicting a refresh to the MacBook line, which we’ve been hearing about for a while now and it seems as though the iPods will also get a shakedown. Shawn Wu, an American Technology Research analyst, is claiming that the current crop of 2.5G iPhones will get a “minor casing change” and a drop in price somewhere between $299 and $349.

Personally, I don't see a change in the 1st Gen iPhone. It'll just be discontinued. I see the prices remaining the same as well as the storage.

I'll be glad when we get something from Apple instead of these endless speculations.

Agreed. If the next generation iPhone doesn't have copy & paste and toothpaste dispensation, I might have to buy a Tilt...

Is it any different than when people were speculating on the original iPhone?

Wait, yours doesn't dispense toothpaste already? Might want to restore and take it to Apple.

No. But we did finally get some information straight from Apple as we got closer to iDay.

I believe the MB is getting the touch pad like the MBP for one thing. I also THINK I read that the outer shell was getting a makeover.

Yeah I believe an aluminum casing is in order, or so the rumors would have us believe at least.

Apple is on a roll. I know when I have the money, I'm going all Apple as they one day will knock Microshaft off of it's dominate PC slot and I hope that happens as I am so sick of Microshafts arrogance, like killing XP(a good OS) and cramming Vista down our throats. I am a gamer, but I get tired of having to buy new software and hardware every time a new OS comes out. Vista is a dismal failure and every one knows it. Afresh line of Mac's is a good thing, the problem I see as Mac's become more popular, so will hacking them and I hope the powers that be are working on this. I run Carbonite and NOD 32 on my PC, yeah some good protection, but no guarantees. I think competition is a good thing.

There are rumors that the new firmware (and/or iPhone 2, whichever) will have a contact search feature.
