I had some issues restoring to the newest firmware last night and got frustrated and went to bed. Seems I'm not the only one and there was a work out found from the tUAW people. I tried that and it seems to be restoring now. Initial reports are the iTunes store and App Store and in this release. I'll report back once it's finished installing and I'm synced up.

The new simulator also includes a search feature in Contacts app.

A contact search doesn't excite me much. I suppose it's important but...
Even more useful would be if I started dialing a person by name, getting a shorter list of results automatically as I type (seperate listings for each number in the contact), tapping the name/number when I see it...and it calls (a la WM)... then we have something really great.
Doing it via the keypad (T9) would be standard, but if I could call up a full keyboard from the dialpad... holy crap, it's an iPhone!!!

Yea, this feature was actually implemented on the phone itself in the last beta (beta3).

Well, it wasn't added in the current release, but you can save pictures from Safari to the Camera Roll.

Is anyone else having problems downloading from the Apple website?
I tried with Firefox and Safari on my hackintosh, get 4kb/s if I'm lucky
I'm downloading it via Lynx on my web server at 800kb/s, hopefully will get better speeds downloading from my server...
