First of all I want to apologize if this has been discussed before. But I did search around and can't seem to find definite answers to some of my questions. I've kinda fallen off the iPhone modding world and would like to get back up to speed with the current modifications. If you choose to reply, please be sure to formulate your answers in reference to my particular questions. I would prefer not to hear replies that simply say, "Just Ziphone, or pwn it"
Where my iPhone is:
-Currently I am 1.1.2 jailbroken on AT&T
Where I want my iPhone to be:
-Jailbroken and running a fully functional 1.1.4
-I also want to be able to access my phone files/editing through iBrickr
(I've used iBrickr since day 1 and feel most comfortable using it)
Why I want to upgrade my phone:
-I want my phone to be fully ready for SDK apps in June
-I keep running low on SMS space, and I heard the newer firmware increases the space for SMS messages
My Questions/Concerns:
-I've heard that you have to do a phone restore to get on 1.1.4, is this true? (If possible, I would prefer a method that would not require a restore)
-Will I brick my phone if I choose to download and install the 1.1.4 update regularly from itunes?
