first i want to say that this i am not trying to get people to bid on this ebay auction, as it has already finished

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330230007172

i was just browsing ebay when i came across that, that man just made around a 100 dollars profit, and people who put up 16 gigs make even more, now i was wondering which method i would use for what that seller displays.

will a simple Do it all in ziphone work? or is it more complicated, does do it all make youtube and everything work?

because all ive used is just jailbreak since i use AT&T, I was looking to simply make my money back from paying back 434 dollars to my father since i know it was painful for him to whip out 450 dollars in the apple store http://forums.psucomic.com/images/smilies/lol.gif

and then maybe some extra for myself http://forums.psucomic.com/images/smilies/smiley-surprised.gif

a thank you in advance to anyone who replies http://forums.psucomic.com/images/smilies/smiley-happy.gif

Use ZiPhone and then Installer to download the fix for youtube on 1.1.4 firmware and you're set.

Alright thanks, and do you think I should leave installer on the screen for the buyer to use it because I don't want them screwing up the phone

YoungBinks,

Since he is on AT&T, he shouldn't need any youtube or email fixes at all, right? I only ask because I have never needed any of those fixes, and I have used Ziphone and the Dev Team releases. I think that those who activate with AT&T get the right tokens set so that those fixes are not needed. Please explain if I am way off here. I don't want to give bad info. Regards.

Well, I've heard it both ways. I have AT&T and I needed to use the YouTube fix in order for it to work, otherwise I got a "Could not connect to YouTube" message. I'm not sure what went wrong but I couldn't get it to work at all without the 1.1.4 tweak.

I would just make it extremely clear in the eBay listing that you unlocked using firmware 1.1.4 and that you are NOT responsible for any activity the phone purchaser does after they receive the item. Just let them know that it is jailbroken and unlocked with Installer still on the phone and it should be fine.

Youngbinks, I cannot thank you enough, now I have heard that the apple store has a limitation on buying iPhones? How does that work..

They used to have a 2 iPhone limit to purchase at any one time but I believe you're not allowed to purchase up to 5 iPhones at once, but you have to use a credit card, cash will NOT be accepted. Also, AT&T is now making you activate the iPhone in the store (or so I've heard) so I would definitely go to an Apple store instead.

maybe online from the apple store would be a good idea?

And wow, I just saw the ebay fees and wow is all I can say, 4 percent doesn't sound alot but its taking ~20 bucks away from profit...
