Installer 3.0 question

i have a unlocked i phone i got used, when i go under installer it brings up a bunch of things that say featured - twinkle, wallpaper,collage,taptap revolution, hide pod , sketches and iwoman? but if i touch any of them nothing happens, i have 1 update and it says version 3.1? i dont wanna update it cause im afraid the phone mite lock up cause the previous owner sayed becareful updating since its a unlocked phone? but is this why i cant open any of these apps cause i have to update to 3.1 first or?? if i hit uninstall it only brings up version 3.1, if i hit install it brings up a bunch of stuff, under sources it brings up app tapp official, big boss's, conceited software , modmyifone, ste packaging and iclarified, what do i need to do to use any of this?? just hit install to all or?? i mean theres a ton of stuff in there can be installed that im assuming the previous owner had on there

The update you mentioned - is it Version 3.01 of Installer? If so, yes you should go ahead and install that.

When the previous owner warned about avoiding updates because you're unlocked, they would've been meaning iPhone firmware updates (the ones you get via iTunes) - avoid those as they will return your phone to a locked / stock condition.

If you get Installer up-to-date, you should be able to install the Featured apps that interest you. Anything listed under the Install categories is not currently installed on your iPhone - as apps that are show up under the Uninstall tab ...

There is no 3.0.1 software. The current version 2.2.1.
