Hi Chaps and Chapesses. Never joined this type of thing before so forgive the first attempt. I am seeking information regarding ipod touch being used with car stereo - does anyone know how to get these to work? I have an 8gb ipod touch and a JVC KD-G421. It worked fine with the nano!:frown:

If you post this in the ipod touch section of the forum, you will be more likely to get help. Most people don't read every section of the forum, only the ones that interest them. Therefore people that could help you most will frequent the ipod touch forum.
Welcome to EIC. Hope you get your answers.

You have a number of options.
1. FM transmitter. Plugs into the iPod and broadcasts to an otherwise empty FM channel which you pick up on your car radio.
2. Cassette adapter.
3. AUX in. Some car audio head units come with an AUX IN where you use a double-ended 1/8" jack cable to connect your iPod to your car stereo. Some are located in the back, but many are conveniently located on the fron panel. This is what I do.
4. Hard wire your car. Companies like Denison (http://www.dension.com/main.htm)offer custom iPod integration kits. Much more expensive, but can often put your ID3 tags on your car's display screen (if it has one) and you can use your car's audio controls to manipulate your iPod.
5. Buy a car with built-in iPod support.
There are other options out there. Google search, search the Accessories forums, or browse our Store.
