you can buy a cheapo phone from a carrier witch uses sim cards and just slip it in the iPhone and unlock it.

In the US, that is just T-Mobile & AT&T.

In the US, that is just T-Mobile & AT&T.
cell one used sim cards even before they were bought out by att and im pretty sure that US cellular uses sim cards as well. tmo and att are the only country wide carriers that use sim cards
