No Mail?

Suddenly I lost my Mail. I restored the phone to 1.1.4. When I try to Sync the Mail accounts, I get the message;

iTunes could not sync Mail accounts to iPhone because the iPhone canceled the sync.

Has anybody else had this problem?

You should post this on the iPhone Modifications forum. The hackers tend to read that forum first, so you'll probably get a helpful reply there a little quicker than you will here.

I've just had a similar problem, but found a solution.

1. Connect your phone to your PC.
2. Go to settings and mail on the iphone.
3. Delete all your mail accounts.
4. Go to itunes and click on the info tab under iphone.
5. Scroll down to the advanced section 'replace information on this iphone' and tick the box that says 'Mail Accounts'
6. Click on apply/sync

Your mail accounts on your PC should now appear on your iphone and you should be able to sync as normal. You may need to set the outgoing mail settings to work with your mobile service providers settings.:smile:

when i try to do this i get all the way to the advanced section and the tick box that says "Mail Accounts" does not allow me to check it. i'm trying to get my mail to restore after restoring from ziphone 2.6b, then jailbreaking with ziphone 3.0, not liking it, so restoring again to 1.1.4, then jailbreaking again with ziphone 2.6b. everything else works fine, mail is just giving me a pain. i may have to do a complete restore and redo everything, but i figured i would give this a try first. thanks

Try deleating accounts whilst not connected. What type of email acounts do you have POP3 or other type? What mail client are you using Outlook, Udora, Firefox... There could be many different reasons why this is not working, its probably something simple thats just been overlooked. I'm not an expert but when I had this problem I just tried logical solutions and finally stumbled upon something that worked.
