;)
Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been a Mac user for about 2 years now and I love it. I was given an iTouch by my work for testing purposes and now that I've gotten a chance to see it up close, I'm considering getting the iPhone in a few months when it's time to switch out my current cell.
I'm a Tmobile user and am wondering (just in case anyone knows off the top of their head ;) if there are any rumors about when/if they are going to start supporting the iPhone.
Oh, and I think I'm supposed to declare myself as a member of a commercial development company. I don't want to be seen as advertising anything, so I'll keep the company name quiet.
Good to see such a lively group here!

Welcome Rebecca.
T-Mo supporting iPhone (officially that is, not via an unlocked phone) is going to be a while, since AT&T has that 5-year exclusivity agreement.

Welcome to the EIC Forums Rebecca.
AT&T does in fact have a 5 year agreement with Apple to be the only wireless provider to technically support the iPhone (in the U.S. at least). I would suggest checking the AT&T coverage in your area (here is that link http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/?WT.svl=calltoaction ) to see if making the switch to AT&T would work out well for you. The one good thing about having to wait to switch is that there is the possibility of a new iPhone release near the summer, so you don't have to be torn with the decision to get the phone yet.

Welcome aboard! Indeed, it's AT&T only for five years. However, if you're up to hacking the iPhone, it can be unlocked so that it can operate on T-Mobile - this, however, if against Apple's policies. They do work against unlocked phones and will make them unusable. (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20070924-apple-firmware-update-likely-to-make-unlocked-iphones-permanently-inoperable.html)
