So, I love food. And sometimes I like it fast, unhealthy, and delicious. I'm guilty for weekly fast food trips. I'm kind of interested in trying new stuff so my artery-clogging won't be so monotonous. So share your guilty fast food secrets using the format below.
Favorite Chain: Taco Bell
Favorite Meal: 2 Cheesy Gordita Crunches (Occasional Crunchwrap Supreme)
Ideal Drink: Pepsi (No Coke there)

Favorite Chain: Tough but I have to go with McDonald's
Favorite Meal: #9, 9 piece nugget meal and french fries, large sized
Ideal Drink: Coke, I cannot stand Pepsi products
When I was younger (8-10 years old) I would get 2 20 piece nuggets (yeah, that's 40) a large fry and a large coke. This was before they switched to all-white meat too.

I also love the ice cream. I will post my birthday cake in a new thread.
I avoid fast food. When I have to eat it I chose a salad or Subway. If it had to be a hamburger, I prefer it at a restaurant like Chilli's. They have really good fries at Chilli's
If I must chose:
Chain: Wendy's
Meal: Double Cheeseburger
Drink: Diet Coke
and top it off with a Frosty Desert

Having 3 daughters is a recipe for never agreeing on anything. I like Chinese, my numbers 2 and 3 like it as well. My number 1 doesn't. If we get Chinese, we have to stop and get a Subway sub.
McDonalds, by some miracle of fate, comes in handy since all 3 can agree, even though it kills me afterwards. My number 1 and myself usually polish off what's in front of us. Number 2 goes only after the fries (and that, only when she has enough ketchup). Number 3 is only interested in the toy. Harry likes number 3.

That is sooo funny. My daughter #1 will not eat Chinese, either. We have to get her a Subway sub also! #2 will not eat any processed meat and will not eat Subway.
They like Mcdonald's, of course. I let Grandma take them.
Side note: I worked hard to lose some weight and I work hard to keep it off. If I am going to eat a lot of fat, it is going to be desert. Ice cream, cake, pudding, pie. I love it all. I had a big old piece of ice cram cake tonight.

If Chipolte counts as fast food, then I am changing my vote. Chipolte is awesome. I get a fajita burrito with steak. It is soooo good. Of course, I get diet coke. Even my kids will eat Chipolte!

I love watching Alton Brown. I'm actually pretty obsessed with Food Network. I watched it for like 9 straight hours yesterday after the Masters was finished. I LOOOOVE Giada Delaurentis. I also watch Barefoot Contessa, Food Network Challenge, Ace of Cakes, Iron Chef and Guy's Big Bite. I may have missed a few shows.

The turn off with Chipotle for me is the price for the food. It's about 9 dollars (with drink) for a burrito that cost them all of 49 cents to make (meat, beans, tomatoes). But I agree, it's delicious.

i could eat this almost every day
Chain: Chick-Fil-A
Food: Number 1 with cheese and no pickles (cheese on it is AMAZING)
Drink: coke
this is all value-sized of course
it used to be Chipotle but they've been skimping AND it costs more and the last few times have been so grilled that it tastes burnt. they're definitely losing me

Dang, I do remember talking about the amazingness that is fast food. I've since tried cheese on my Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and it IS amazing.

Lion's Choice is my main go-to place around here. many of you may not know about it, because i think it's mainly in the midwest. Think of it as Arby's (roast beef sandwiches and fries), only the quality of ingredients is more along the lines of Chick-Fil-a.

But, to get back on topic:

I have been told that the hamburgers at our local Dairy Queen(which i used to work at) are the best in town. Now I won't say that I know from personally experience. This is totally unbiased as I don't eat hamburgers. :P But also I would point out that our DQ is independently owned and as a result the food is indigenous to ours alone. I prefer to eat fresh deli food or good Greek, but if there was one guilty pleasure I'd like to satisfy, is trying out White Castle. They don't have any here unfortunately.
You are what you eat :)
Mmm...Greek food. I love Greek food. This is a gyro I had most recently. One of the best ever. The best thing is that it can be simple but so appetizing.

Too funny. I have a smart-butte running contest with my wife on this very subject. Even had the nerve to look it up on Wikipedia. Even though the truth stares down at me like a deer in the headlights, I still give her a hard time (at my stupid expense of course.)

Last time I was in Greece, one of the cafes in Marathonas put the fries into the Gyro itself, rather than offer them as a side as pictured above.
I've since taken a liking to it that way, its quite good actually :)

Oh they definitely put fries in the gyro as well and it was really good. This pic was taken in Piraeus, the little Port center in Athens. The total cost for the meal, between 3 people, each getting 2 gyros, a soda, fries and 1 kabob was 8 Euro. Amazingly good deal.

Very good deal. How'd you like Athens? Its really weird, I mean 90% of the country lives there and it shows! We headed out to Rafina and looking back at Athens was like layers of buildings on top of buildings and so on. I can't tell you how many times I got lost just trying to drive to the Acropolis. Ended up ditching the car for the rest of our stay and just taking the subway, lol! I don't recommend it if you have a sensitive nose, omfg someone open a window, no wait don't! (Deodorant is apparently optional there)

Athens was amazing. There is just so much culture at every turn. We only took the subways which I found incredibly easy to use, almost as easy as the Tube in London. Standing at the Acropolis and the Parthenon and looking over the city was breathtaking. The city is incredibly expansive. It seemed that the city stretched as far as I could see, if not more. As for the smell, when we were there the civil workers were on strike, meaning no garbage pick up. I was able to experience stench at its finest.
While in Greece we were also able to check out Thessaloniki and we took the ferry out to Mykonos. Both places were absolutely breathtaking. I'll hopefully get back out to Mykonos sometime over the summer for the true party experience.

So tough... it goes in phases with me.
I've always been a Wendy's guy. Big Bacon classic or junior bacon if I'm not so hungry.
But lately, Burger King has won me over with their fries. And the BK double stacker. My lord, that is a tasty burger.
But as far as consistency... when I go to Subway, I always get the same thing. In fact I got it tonight for dinner: Italian BMT on italian herb+cheese bread, provolone cheese, lettuce, onion, green pepper, black olive, oil+vinegar. Can't seem to find anything better.
Bonus: Anyone know what BMT stands for (before the google search you're about to do)?

Favorite Meal. Roast beef sandwich or....
Damnit I forgot about the fast food roast beef! Oh, Arby's and Hardee's... I love thee as well. Too hard to pick a favorite, that's why I've avoided this thread for so long.
And I don't even fast food that often (at least burger joint type fast food). Maybe that's why I enjoy it so much when I do.

That's not fast food. Hell, I feel like I was cheating listing my favorite Subway sandwich.
I live very close to the real "cheesesteak district" in Roxborough where Dalessandro's and Chubby's serve up the real deal. So much better than Pat's or Gino's.

I am the exact same way at Subway and I did in fact have it for dinner tonight as well. It consists of a Subway Club (turkey, ham and bacon) on parmesan oregano with American cheese, lettuce, vinegar and oil, lots of black pepper and extra southwestern sauce. So delicious.

My usual sandwich is the foot long Cold Cut Combo. I'm pretty boring with my sandwich. The following is the family breakdown:
wife: american cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, black olive, mayo, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper
Daughter 1: american cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, mayo, oil and vinegar
Daughters 2, 3: american cheese, tomatoe, mayo
Me: american cheese, lettuce, oil and vinegar (Boring )

From a health standpoint, I'd have to agree. Its almost ridiculous to consider Quiznos healthy because its made fresh. Their sauces are high in calories, which goes against the grain imho. Subway on the other hand is just to flavorless, kinda like Boston Market, where once you've tried it all you're done.
Mom&Pop subshops are the way to go if you really enjoy a good italian sub. They cut their own meat which is authentic, and use more flavorful ingredients because they don't have to be the "vanilla" of flavors to appease the masses.

Speaking of "fast food", how has everyone's experience been with benchmarking the speed of "fast food"? Usually, I'll go through the drive thru. But, the drive thrus have been slow, and the accuracy of the final orders given out the window has not met expectations. (I ordered a Crispy Chicken, not grilled).

What's wrong with 920 calories? After all, it's enough energy to raise the temperature of 920 grams of water 1 degree centigrade. What? Can't use that extra energy? Not a problem. The body conveniently stores that unused energy source in opportune places.
