Ringtone Program Update Messed Up Phone

I am on 1.1.4 jailbroken and use the Ringtones application and downloaded the update today and my phone quit playing any and all audio files. When I use WinSCP to get into my phone, in /private/var/root there is a folder named .ecasound with one file inside of it with the same name. The folder and file are gray, as if hidden and the modified date/time is when I update Ringtones. Does anyone know what this file does or if its my problem?

OK, dumb question. Did you reboot? I updated to 2.83 and had a few hiccups that a second reboot (the Installation requested one initially) took care of.

After several attempts at fixing the problem, I just did a restore an started new. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to fix it, but I am pretty sure that file was the problem.
