contact list help!

i'm in australia, so the cell/mobile numbers here are probably a bit different to yours...

but, my problem is:
when i receive text messages, the name of the person who has sent the message does not come up, just the number, even though the person is in my phonebook.

what can i do!?
it's really frustrating, as i have to go through my whole phonebook, find the number to work out who sent the message! its a puzzle that i don't have time for!

Could it have something to do with area codes? Check if you have them in your contacts - if you have them, remove them, and if not, put them in. See if that fixes the issue.

i tried that and it ended up doing the opposite, text messages come up with a name.. but now when people call me, it comes up with a number and no name!
