Is there a command prompt window (for lack of a better term)
I just need to be able to open it up and ping from time to time, maybe the occasional telnet session.
Any 3rd party stuff by chance?
Thanks for the help. :)

For iPhone, Windows, Mac, or Linux? You're not 100% clear to me. :)

Thanks for the info. Guess I should have made it more clear.
I'm looking for an iPhone version. :)
I tried Term VT-100 and had no luck.
Been searching to get some more info on getting it going. I keep getting stuck at the "password" prompt. Somewhere there's a manual, I'm sure. :)

If you're on 1.1.4 , good luck with the Terminal app.......

I'm on 1.1.4 , and tried everything. Even with the help of several guys on here, and nothing worked with the Terminal app.
Maybe you can figure it out..........:2cool:

Still beating my head against the wall, trying to get into it. I've tried everything I've been able to look up on this and other forums.
I've uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted and done it all again...still nothing. Can't log in.
I downloaded putty, and can log in TO the phone (root/alpine) but still can't get logged in, ON the phone.
Well.. back to googling.
I will NOT let this beat me. :)
