Welcome to the forums. Don't think I'm being rude when I suggest you should Google this topic but that is the best solution for finding the right software package for your specific computer and needs.

You have to make several decisions, including whether you want free software. Software packages are platform dependant, so you will need to answer whether or not you are using a Mac or PC. I don't know the degree of technical savvy. That will impact whether you want a package with a straight forward GUI or something that has more flexibility, but requires additional expertise.

I've been burned by a number of software packages, some I've bought. For my Mac, I've been very happy ripping the movie using Mac the Ripper to my hard drive, then using either Handbrake or Visual Hub to make the final MP4 conversion. For my PC, I've been very happy ripping the movie using DVD FAB HD Decrypter, and converting it using Nero Ultimate or Handbrake.

Asus GS-1S user on Vista Ultimate

I have tried MANY freeware conversion programs and I settled for a $30 program called Magic DVD Ripper.

MDR is the simplest Windows program I have ever used, they upgrade their software to keep up with the new devices, like touch and iPhone. They send you an email every time there is a revision too. You simply highlight the movie, and choose the user device. i.e iPod Video, iPhone, PSP, whatever.... You can see how large the file will be, and you can adjust the quality to decrease the size, should you choose. Then press go!

Basically, I set to the iPhone's resolution once, and have never changed it since. It now takes 2 clicks.....one to choose the movie file, and one to start the conversion process. Do yourself a favor and spend the $30.

Welcome, bro. I use videora, it's free, it works well and actually adds your final video into iTunes for you.

I was able to convert DVD and video to iPhone using Cucusoft iPhone Video Converter Suite software (http://www.welldownload.com/dvd-to-iphon.html) So far, I'm really impressed with how easy it is to use and how effectively it got the job done.

I'm glad you are having success with that package.
