I love the apps feature, and really appreciate all the work that goes into these, but there are SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM!

What do you guys/ladies suggest and trust?

I'm using "installer" but am still in the process of learning what this device is capable of (not sure what's really out there yet). It seems that whatever anyone can imagine, it can be created. Similarly to the infinite possibilities of editing images in Photoshop. And you gotta love the accelerometer.

It's really hard to keep up with all of these advancements so keeping everyone posted here would be great.

PLEASE if you have better alternatives to any suggested apps listed below ADD your details and opinions below!

As an example, these are a few apps that I find useful... I have 1.1.4FW.

iRadio for one, is awesome, but sketchy on the go with the Edge network. Thousands of radio stations to choose from, as well as the wide assortment of DI.FM stations (which I can't live without). Works great if I'm around the house or hanging out by the pool.

SendPics is pretty handy also. Very easy to use. I just wish the camera quality was better. My photos come out really grainy. Please tell me if this is a defect and if I should take it in. The quality is so bad I don't even like using it :/

SummerBoard for themes. Not yet sure if there is anything else available/compatible with my FW version, but this works for now. Many good themes. I just wish the menus, and icon placements could be a little more customizable...

Flashlight is a neat little tool. All it does it turn the screen white and max out the brightness. Comes in handy quite often. Still love my LED light on my old phone.

Converter is also a great tool to have. Good design and many choices to choose from. Anything from length to volume to currency. It's updated frequently so this tool gets more and more useful.

And of course I have a few games. My favorites are Labyrinth, Tris(Tetris), Chess, Sudoku, all which have good design. Can't wait to see what will be coming out soon.

I use SMSD daily to forward and send multiple texts out at a time.

iFlix is great to for those with Netflix. It lets you mangage your queue much better than on safari.

Just installed the SMSD but with no success in running it. Is it incompatible with 1.1.4? Or is there a fix I need..

SMSD wont work with 1.1.4. Try WeTools it's actually better than SMSD.

FWIW SMSD version 0.2.3.b1 works great with 1.1.4. You may also have to download SUID lib fix from the installer to get it working.

The truly useful applications I have found so far are:-

1. Search
2. SpringDial

Both of these should really always have been built in I think.
