well the other day the headphones that came with my iphone took a dive off the deep end. the right headphone sounds like a blown speaker in a car. its all fuzzy, and just basically buzzes the whole time i use it. normally i wouldn't care, but the fact i can use these to talk with while driving, and they are the only ones that fit the stupid audio plug on the iphone its kind of a pain.

i was wondering if any of you have encountered the same issue, and if there was any way apple would cover this under warranty for the phone. i've had my phone for not even 2 months and love it. i saw a thread on here about a guy upgrading his headphones with some other kind, but i would rather just save the trouble and get a new pair. i would do a quick search but i'm just walking out the door. if this has been covered extensively i apoligize and will search when i get back. thanks in advance.

a while ago i threw my head phones onto my desk and one of them ended up in a cup of soda. my left headphone crapped out and sounded like what you described so i ordered a new pair of head phones. about a week after i received the new headphones(2 weeks after i dropped the originals in soda) i decided to test the crapped out headphone again and it worked perfectly fine again. mayb you just need to give it sometime and it will be fine again.

I got a pair of iPod headphones replaced under warranty at the Apple store, no problem. I guess the warranty covers not just the actual device, but the stuff that comes with it, too.

youll need the old headphones, and your serial number or mac address for the iphone, you get one free swap i believe, took me 5 minutes tops at the 5th avenue store in manhattan. ive since ordered the Maximo headphones.
