WEATHER and STOCKS NOT UPDATING

I did a restore Sunday night, noticed today that stocks and weather will not update. I get an error with both (error retrieving charts, update failed). I tried EDGE as well as wf-fi. I'm on a j/b 1.1.4.

The problem doesn't seem to be limited to jail broken devices. I just tried my weather app, and it reported that update failed. Is the weather app a Yahoo service?

Seems Yahoo's been missing the boat on a lot of things lately.

Yeah Weather and Stocks are the two Yahoo apps on the phone. And the two most likely to fail. I've seen it before many times... it'll go away.

Yup mine isnt updating either. It seems like Yahoo fails.

Thanks, thought I mucked it up (again). Maybe Yahoo is saying 'April Fool's!'

Hopefully they're making their servers faster. Weather should be like... bam... boom... instant. Even on edge. It so isn't.

Don't know if it's a fluke or not. I turned off my WI-FI and could not update Weather on Edge--then I turned WI-FI back on and now both Stocks and Weather are working.

Yeah I just turned off wifi and it updated over edge. Are we all using Bossprefs to do all our antenna switching by any chance? Just curious...

My weather application is working again over EDGE. Did not make any setting changes to device. Guess Yahoo got its act together again. Sheesh! What does Microsoft see in Yahoo, anyway!

Both working now----must've been a Yahoo glitch in the Matrix.
