Yeah, unfortunately the initial quantity ran out rather quickly. I'm sure that after a little while longer they're going to offer them again, but who knows when that will be.

When i saw that link on the main page I set it to my home page. Everytime I start firefox that link comes up. There was a 350$ phone but not a 250. Perhaps it was a special? If 250 comes back Im going to buy one of those instead of getting my screen fixed.

Yo Cols! Well, I was in Europe for almost 2 weeks, so that was a fun little hiatus. However, when I got back to the States both of my laptops quit working within the same week, leaving me unable to do anything. I finally got a new laptop (MacBook Air, made the Apple leap) so I can resume my normal EIC operations at last. I've been doing a lot of reading of recent threads lately because I feel way out of the loop. But it's definitely good to be back.

Hmm, they must have been around for longer then 24 hours. I told my friend about the deal and he went a week later and got one...

They took them off that web page the next day. If your friend went to a store, then he was buying store stock and not online stock.

Yeah you're not going to find them on the Apple site anymore and they never did sell in the physical Apple stores.
If you call around to AT&T stores you may get lucky though. That's how my wife got hers. :)

This is true, a friend of mine scored a 4gb refurb for $199 in a AT&T store in DC last week. She doesn't like it, so I am trying to buy it off of her and sell my 4gb.:foot:

Why are you trading one for another of the same thing?
Yea, it was off the ATT site within 24 hours. I was going to get one for the wife, but ended up paying full price.

Honestly, I was better suited for a 4gb, but by the time I joined the iPhone community, the 4gb were long discontinued. I have over 6.5GB left over on my 8GB and I've owned it since December. :2cool:

I'd hang on to it a little longer. Who knows how big the apps are going to be? They could add up....

That made me chuckle out loud. Final word? It's over. Less than 24 hrs of being posted. Sucks, eh?

again I'll say to call your local AT&T stores as they would be the only way at this point. You may be surprised.

Right - on the east coast. :foot: Nowhere on the west coast had them in store to begin with. AFAIK.

The strange thing is that in the Apple Store when I got a refurb to replace my phone, it comes with a receipt with that states a $249.00 value on it.

Right, the $350 is always only from Apple, afaik. The $250 has only reared its head once, on ATT, not Apple.
