jailbroken and non jailbroken

I was thinking maybe there should be different sections for jail broken and non jailbroken iPhones. Whenever I'm in the forums I get confused if people are talking about jailbroken or non jailbroken iPhones. Just a thought

well, in most cases, if they are talking about a naitive 3rd party app, then its a jailbroken iPhone, since apple approved apps won't be available till after the version 2.0 firmware is released. At that point we will have to wait and see what happens to the dev community before trying to segragate hacked or approved phones.
Also, most post about 3rd party apps already stay in that section of the forum.

Hawk is right... 99.9% of those apps you are reading about most likely are j/b... .001% are just web applications... that apple lists on there web app section on apple.com

Meaning separate the forums? We've been doing that since day one - there's a Modifications Forum and a Third Party Applications Forum. Occasionally people post about jailbroken apps in the iPhone Forum and the General Discussion Forum, and we move it to the appropriate forum.

Well with over 400 people viewing the iPhone forum at almost anytime, it's a little hard to keep the jailbreak/unlock posts down. Once the 1.2/2.0 firmware is available, we'll probably see a decline in jailbreak posts, but unlocking will always be a popular topic.
