Looks like people are reporting greatly increased speeds over edge. Did ATT unleash the fine edge? hmmm...

there was a report a earlier in the week that all upgrades had been completed. I didn't really notice much difference last weekend, but this morning I did notice that it was a little faster than it had been in the past.

don't expect too much though because it is still painfully slow compared to broadband speeds.

The edge on my BB has significantly increased in speed over the last couple days.

with edge there is no UNLEASHING its OK for when you want to check something out but long sessions are best kept on a computer.

EDGE used to be like 100kbps at best...

Now:

New York City: 184kb/s
Queens, NY: 186kb/s-230kb/s
Chicago suburbs: 160kb/s
S. Florida: 176kb/s-204kb/s
Washington DC: 196kb/s-207kb/s
Philly: 191kb/s-264kb/s
Marion, Indiana: 186kb/s-196kb/s

I should have it made considering I'm just 40 miles from AT&T headquarters (in Atlanta)...and probably in the most-covered area. Hopefully EDGE will be around 200 kbps

agreed. I have noticed some improvement as well. I've been using a Blackberry 8800...sold it on EBAY today.

Hmmm, i don't have a phone I would wanna try it on right now, nor the plan for it.....hope they upgraded ours. 'cause I never got that "EDGE upgrade" SMS. :gasp:

now THIS is the news i was waiting to hear!

my confidence in getting an iphone in acouple weeks just went up. this slow edge was the only thing holding me back, hopefully its true

tomorrow u guys gotta post speeds it takes u to open webpages on edge
