For me, about every other day my phone freezes up and i have to reset it (home+sleep button). it happens sometimes when i get a phone call and it wont let me answer, the touchscreen doesnt work at all when i touch it. i was just wondering if this is normal to anyone else, i think im going to restore and go to 1.1.4 with ziphone.
I'm on JB 1.1.3 btw, been for a few months.

I've never had to reset mine, but it's not jailbroken either.
I havnt don it since I jailbroke two months ago. I'm on 1.1.3 with ziphone. What you're expieriencing is not normal at all. Maybe you could post a list of all the apps you have installed. This could be a simple fix because I know of several people still on 1.1.3 jb with zero problems.

Your situation does not seem normal at all to me - that's way too often, and freezing up when calls come in brings back bad memories of a Treo for me.
I reset mine maybe once every 2 weeks, or less. Running 1.1.4 and Ziphone jailbroken ...

im pretty sure i installed all of the fixes for what i have under 1.1.3 tweaks. lol, i also just noticed the reflection of the icon where the stock location for mail is.
If I was reseting once a day I definatly would be looking into the problem. That would be so nerve racking.
I dont see any apps that jump out at me as trouble. If I was in ur situation. I would do a full reset and restore seting the phone up as "new" and start over. Maybe add say only five apps a day or ten. This way that when u get the troubled app you will know its one of the apps that u added that day. Hope that makes since. U shouldn't have to deal with reseting every day.

yeah, that sounds like a good plan.
I hope it works out for you. I think 1.1.3 is a awsom firmware and I'm sticking with it but lost of people swear by the new 1.1.4. I hear the only bg hicup is customize. Any ways. Good luck!
If you do find an app that seams to be causing the problem you should definatly let us know what it is.

I usually try to reboot daily although it not necessary to do it. I dont have much trouble with it. I am running on a jailbroken 1.1.3. the only time when I have to be force to reboot is when I use Apollo. sometime when I log out it locks up and I have to do a hard reboot. Its been the same way since 1.0.2.

I reset mine every 3 days just to give it a reboot since I never turn it off, not because it needs it.
I think in all the times I have owned it, it only locked once the touchscreen wouldnt allow me to enter anything on safari, but everything else worked.

I very rarely have to reset. Usually, I can correct issues just by holding in the home button for seven or eight seconds. Other times, a reset is needed especially if I begin having trouble switching between applications.
As a good practice, I clear my Safari history and cache every couple of days, and perform a reset as well prior to synchronizing. Not necessary, but like a good baby, a burp never hurts.

hi this may not be relevant but a previous phone of mine used to freeze especially when people phoned. I had some corrupt contacts and when I removed them it work like a charm. Have you done anything different with your contacts or syncing or contacts info?
