I was useing my iPhone and it was plugged in to the wall and it just turned off i turned it back on and works fine now any ideas what I should
if its not broke dont fix it. I have had instances were the iPhone turns off on its own a few times and won't turn back on. Ive also talked to a few other people that have had this problem as well. If your phone turned back on and works fine then I wouldnt worry about it. If u do have a problem with it not turning on u always need to try pluging it into the computer and or a wall socket first. This is what usually works. Hope I could help.

yea thanks I got kind of worried
glad I could help. The most important thing is when something does happen to ur phone dont panic. Most of the time its nothing major and if u can't find your answer on the EIC then your prolly not looking hard enough. LOL enjoy

This happens to me every now and then. It'll lock up, and the only way to un-freze it is to dock it or call it. (Note that I didn't experience this pre-jailbreak.)

Johnny Apple,
I was just wondering. You wouldn't happen to have your "Auto Lock" (settings>general>auto lock) on would you??? The phone will shut itself off, if that feature is turned on. There are different minute settings and also a "never" option to choose when or if your phone hibernates.
To John,
Nice add on to your post about, "post jailbreak stability" of the iPhone. I think a lot of the 3P developer's have abandoned the free apps, in search of fame and riches in reference to the SDK release. I have noticed lately on Installer. Several of the apps are unstable or don't work at all. Look how long Send Song, has not been updated, and does not function properly with 1.1.4. Erica used to regularly give updates on her apps. I figured the free 3P app community would diminish, once the SDK was released. You really can't blame them. A lot of time and hard work is put into building an app, they might as well get paid for it.... Mark

Very true. Of course, jailbreaking will continue. People will still need to unlock, and there will be people who just won't be satisfied with the App Store. But I can say that I'll be leaving the jailbreak I've had since Christmas come June.
