1. Is it better to upgrade to 1.1.4 first then jailbreak using Ziphone?

2.I have read how after a jb with ziphone people lose youtube and mail. Is this guaranteed to happen? even if you select to have a new user, I have read that this still happens?

i upgraded first, have 0, zero, nada, zilch, problems. cant say for a fact, but i can recommend to.

do not upgrade. your upgrade will either fail or cause severe problems.

I upgraded from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 on a locked unbroken AT&T unit then jailbroke it with ZiPhone 2.6b. Not a single problem yet.

My suggestion, along with what others have said, is to to make sure your on 1.1.4 first before you do any jailbreaking. If you create a new user you shouldn't have a problem...i haven't...
