hi, im working all day friday, till 4PM and the line may start around lunch time, could i get someone to wait for me and buy the iphone and then i can go home and set it up on the computer via itunes?

i called my att store they said i have to be there cause i have to sign a contract.

is this true? i am a cingular customer already and have been for a lot of months now. (i am also the account holder/owner)

is anyone here getting someone to buy it for them?

You don't have to do anything contract-wise in the store. They'll want you to, but you don't have to. You can have someone buy the phone for you and leave. That's what I'm doing, too.
