Do I need to put anything in the username/password field?

I entered the mmsc for at&t and the proxy. However I can't send a mail it fails.

no just the mmsc and the proxy. but you have to call AT&T and convince them to enable mms messages on your iphone. most, including myself, just told them that i switch my SIM card between my iphone and another regular phone and I would like to be able to send mms messages from my other phone. If they say it cant be done tell them to connect you to technical support, thats what i had to do.

The rep I talked to told me that the server will automatically fix the MMS messaging by taking it off when it sees I have the iPhone plan.

I had it added last time and it was taken off the next day. I guess I'll call tech support.

At&t won't add it for me. They say the Iphone has no MMS capability?

Multimedia Messaging is a feature that is not available on the Apple
iPhone. As provided in the last email, if an iPhone receives an MMS
message, it will be received as a URL the way other non-MMS devices
receive MMS attachments.

Since this device is not Multimedia capable, it would be unable to send
as well. If you are wanting to send a picture message, this can be sent
through the email as an attachment, or can be sent to another email
address. This will use data, however, would be included in your data
plan.

What to do?

I sent AT&T an email saying I want MMS features as sometimes I use my Samsung Blackjack if I am going to a place where my iPhone is a risk of being stolen. I said I switch back and forth randomly and I would like the MMS feature incase I ever decide to use the Blackjack more than my iPhone. I sent this last night and I am waiting for a response. I will tell you what happens.

How do you determine the mmsc and the proxy? I have at&t and Im trying to get this stupid app to work. Is it true that At&t has to allow MMS for this app to work?

im on attnt and when i called them they transferred me to it and they gave me the setting he said they use but it wouldn't work with them. he said that there is no plan to add for mms for iphone. and that the data plan on iphone is unlimited includes mms.

Someone should just tell them "I modified my iPhone so it can send and receive MMS, but I need a MMS service first." Or something like that.
