In preparation for the arrival of the iphone in ireland I have tried to be clever. I am presently on 3 network and knew I would have to port my number to O2 on 'iday'. So in what I hope is an act of brilliance I went into my carephonewarehouse and asked them to port me to O2 today. Firstly they said I could not do it as I wouldn't be able to take out two O2 contracts in such quick succession (one today then an iphone contract). Ahhhh I said I dont want a contract I just want a pay as you go sim. The staff seemed to think this would work fine and they hadn't even thought about it.
Therefore, I am hoping my port to O2 will go through in the next 1-3 days and I will be able to get my get my iphone off the mark seemlessly as I will be with the O2 network. :wink:
