over the past few weeks i have noticed that my MBP gets rather hot when performing tasks like burning/ripping DVDs... almost uncomfortable to touch.
seems like due to the lack of any (visible) heat sink, this might become problematic. I'll probably invest in a cooling pad for when i know i'm going to be doing CPU-intensive things.
anyway, has anyone else experienced this?

Yea, it does get quite hot. Not to the point of not touching it, but to the point to where my legs get really warm...

Mine never does. Alot of the problems people are getting have NEVER affected me.

The heating "issue" I've had with every laptop I've ever owned, except for the Air. I'm talking after a lot of use or while charging... Again, I think it's normal for the bottom to get warm/"hot".

I just downloaded handbreak and am ripping a dvd as we speak. Can't say the the area around the speakers are hot. Might be slightly warm, but not hot.
