View Full Version : Can iPhone read info from SIM card?
Hey guys, great site! Here's a question for you: "Just got my iphone working and have a Rogers SIM card in - I saved my contacts to the Rogers SIM before moving it to the iphone, is there any way to have the iphone read the contacts (telephone numbers and names) on my Rogers Sim over to the iphone?"
THanks

Nope. You'll have to enter them manually or either sync it with you Outlook contacts. I went the Outlook route.

Isn't there an app in Installer that allows you to copy contacts from a SIM? I'm not sure, but I think I came across it the other day.

yes there its if you go into I installer there's a program called "anysim" and it claims that it can read the simcard and transfer the number to the iPhone (its an option at the top) but it doesn't always work, I'm with fido and it has a hard time on a fido sum card but it seems to work better with rogers but sometimes it doesn't work so just give it a try and see

STOP!
let me clear a few things up.
anySim unlocks the iPhone. only.
the program that transfers contacts from the SIM to the phone is called SIMport. it is in iClarified's source.
Good day.
