Mail Error Issues....PLEASE HELP

I have obviously messed something up on my phone. It keeps trying to "send" a message (of which I have no idea what it is). I cannot check my mail because when I click on my inbox, it first attempts to send this message. Then a message pops up and says "Cannot send mail...the connection to the outgoing server "null" failed.
Yahoo is my mail server....can anyone help me? I am not sure if I inadvertently changed a setting or something, but I am lost.
I just tried to do a restore on the phone thinking this would help, but it didn't.
Any thought/advice??? :angry:

ETA: When I connect up with iTunes, I also get an error message that says : Either there is no default mail client, or the current client cannot fulfill messaging request.

If you're not sure which settings you changed, then you should just delete the mail account from the phone altogether and set it up again just like you did when you got your phone.

yeah, the reason why restoring may not have helped is because if you synced your iphone after this problem started happening, then it "saved" whatever setting is causing the problem.

Stupid question....how do I figure out all the POP servers and things like that??? I can't even remember how I set the mail options up to begin with

You can usually get the incoming and outgoing server info from the ISP web site.
