Seems AT&T is now offering an unlimited voice plan for iPhone (http://www.apple.com/iphone/easysetup/rateplans.html), for $120/month. SMS not unlimited.
I don't fancy that steep a cost, but then I don't burn through all my voice minutes most months anyway ...

i just wish they'd give us a plan between the 450 and 900 plans. I never come close to the 900 i pay for and 450 is too few. why can't they offer a 700 min plan? I know there used to be a 700 min plan with verizon although they don't even offer it anymore.

Amen to that. You'd think that'd be a no-brainer for the carriers too - make it easy for us to upgrade in easy blocks whenever we feel like it. Please can we give you a little more money each month ...

Thanks. Too bad it works out to be more expensive than I have now! They only give you 2 lines for $199.99 and then $99.99 for the add'l lines. I have 4 lines and 3,000 mins shared. For me to go unltd., would mean that my bill would go up at least $100.00.

Unfortunately it's not split up evenly by the carrier. You have to agree with your plan-mate that the other person uses only 700 mins. AT&T will allow each phone to use the whole bucket if the user wishes.

Haha yeah. If I had kids that would worry me, because when I worked in wireless I met teenagers that used 2000 + minutes a month (Plus endless text messages) . You have to wonder how they have so much time to be on the phone so much? Are you texting while youre talking? lol. I don't have to worry much because my fiance isn't much of a phone person, and if he used 400 min a month it would surprise me.

Good thing you don't have someone sharing like an ex-employee of mine!
We gave him a company phone and the first month was billed for 10,000 minutes! I had never seen a bill that high in my life until then.
On my family plan I have 4 phones and never go over the 3,000 minutes even though I use my phone for biz and pay less than $400.00 per month.

They do offer a 700 plan. I was on it, then I switched to the 500 plan.

You must have been an existing att customer. For those of us who started ATT with the iphone, it goes from 450 min to 900.
10,000 minutes? That's 5 and a half hours on the phone every day of the month...
O_o
I reached 5,000 minutes one month, and that was talking as much as I possibly could, every day, letting everyone I know know I have unlimited minutes and to feel free to call...

Yeah tell me about it. This guy would be on the phone all night with friends and girls (all before the myspace craze) and would leave the line connected and fall asleep, etc. Crazy stuff.
Am I correct in assuming that was a factor in his no longer being an employee? :P

What time does free night and weekends start?
Nights start at 9:00PM and end at 5:59AM. You can pay extra to extend those to 7:00PM and 6:59AM
Weekends are from Friday night to Monday morning
Handy trick I learned: If you start a call in night/weekend minutes and it continues into the daytime, it continues counting up as night/weekend minutes rather than starting to count up your daytime minutes.
I didn't test this theory the other way around, but I would suppose if you start a call right before night/weekend minutes and continue talking into the night, it would count those as daytime...

haha, no. His attitude, throwing things in the office and insulting our clients are the reasons he is no longer here. But that bill he paid out of his check!

the first month my neice had her phone she used 8500 text messages. bad thing was the lady at the AT&T store told us she had unlimited texting the first month then my sister in law gets a 1300 dollar bill. I had to fight with the idiots at AT&T for two months to get it taken off the bill
Luckily now she has unlimited texting lol

I don't know what shocked me more...8500 texts in one month, or a $1300 bill!!! Arguing with AT&T is about as productive as suing the American government. That was awfully nice of you to take that task on for your sis-in-law.
