I don't see this as being too much of a problem.

Doesn't bother me too much. I'm more excited about the MS Exchange support than anything else anyway. Come on June/July!:D

There's a thread on this already - here (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/iphone-software/apple-to-allow-only-one-app-running-at-a-time-24613.html?highlight=techcrunch)...

I for one do not follow vague click-here links. At least write something that describes what the heck you are posting about...

A few others sites have suggested that big developers such as AOL will be able to bypass these rules.

this is a huge problem for me. i wanted AIM that runs like the sidekick...

Only one iPhone application can run at a time, and third-party applications never run in the background. This means that when users switch to another application, answer the phone, or check their email, the application they were using quits.

this sucks... i cant just stay in AIM all day and does this mean that when the phone goes to "sleep" that the app will die??

that does SUCK

Has this been proven to be true, or just another rumor? I say wait till June and find out for sure.

I think they found this out by exploring the SDK's insides.
