I just completely restarted my computer so it erased everything on it. Does that mean when I plug in my iphone it will delete all the songs on it to???

If you sync it...yes.

Well doesnt it sync automatically? Is there anyway I can just download iTunes and copy all the music on the phone to the computer?

there are some programs that can remove the music from the iPod/iPhone to iTunes, although I can't remeber the names of them, to be honest. google copy music from iPhone.
