So, i waited for months b/c i knew the sdk was coming, and little did i know that just b/c the sdk was released didn't mean we would get a couple new apps =0(. So I just decided to jailbreak my iphone using ziphone 2.5c and it worked great. However now my youtube does not work, half the programs i downloaded from the ziphone's installer do not work, such as voice notes, and also my e-mail will no long work, says something along the lines of user nam or password for imap.apple.mail.yahoo.co is incorrect. SIGH.

I thought that by jailbreaking my phone i would be able to download A WHOLE bunch of usuable apps however majority of them do not work, maybe its just me, but ziphone's installer makes it so easy that i can't see how i made a mistake. I mean i just pick my app and tap install and it installs it automatically, so i don't think i'm doing n e thing wrong in that sense, maybe its just b/c 1.1.4 doesn't have many 3rd party apps that work?

So here is my dilemma, i like that my phone is jailbroken now... i know its late compared to most of you guys haha, but now my youtube and e-mail doesn't work. I really need my e-mail, so is there n e fixes ?

Also, downloading apps onto the iphone, can this only be done using the ziphones installer? are there other ways such has downloading it on my computer and loading it on itunes to my phone, or go to websites directly from my iphone and download them directly?

please help me for I am a noob at this jailbreaking, and please no snotty remarks like look in the thread, because i have been searching on the thread but there isn't information of my direct questions and if there is information it is explained in a way that i don't know how to fixing my problem.

and finally what are some good applications that can be used on a jailbroken ziphone on firmware 1.1.4?

Hi, Did you try the YouTube Activation under Unlocking tools in installer? Jailbreaking the iPhone with ZiPhone works good but its a known issue that Youtube may not work.

I did install youtube activator from the installer and rebooted my iphone still no luck, and my e-mail isn't working either...

Why dont you restore up to 1.1.4 but dont sync anything, set it up as a new phone. Then try to jailbreak it. Everything should work flawless without needing any patches (youtube,mail). thats why i did. other people who've syncd after they restored have had problems.

i see, so i would have to manually input all my contacts again... sigh..... ok i can live with that but what about other things like summerboard and customize, seems like some people can get both on 1.1.4 but most seem to have problems getting customize to work on 1.1.4, i looked online for answers and they say things like add a source from installer, but when i go to my installer and click sources, there is no option to add a source, am i missing something?

others suggest things like ssh which i have no idea what it is... so im going to research ssh a bit more to see what it is and how i can do it on the iphone, any comments on ssh to your knowledge would also help....

To add a source, click on sources, then at the top right click on "Edit" and then the button on the left will turn into an "Add". Click on that and then you will be able to input new sources.

you can use iSIM or anySIM to transfer your contacts to your iPhone.
