Give Developers Some Ideas

Wouldn't it be cool if we threw around some ideas on Some new apps for the iPhone. No doubt some developers will be browing in here and may get a spectacular idea from one of the users in this forum. So post your thoughts on what you would make if you were a developer, or what you think developers should be thinking about! Who knows....your idea could be at the top of the application list!!!

The strange thing is that Apple needs to dominate when making a application for the iPhone/iPod. Simple because they want to control whats on there appstore..

Anyways I believe in open source and im a programmer in a lot of languages for over 6 years, When I get a idea.. I'll olso release the source of my application.

LOTS of fun and exciting 3d games, maybe even an MMO of some kind for it that we can all play on.

A summer board * type app. Would be sweet so we can change back ground Etc.

a waterd down photoshop type app that we can use to our pics on the phone.
changing color black/white effects negatives stuff like that would be awesome

the biggest thing anyone could do with the iphone would be to incorporate an a2dp profile for the iphone so i could use my motorola s9 headset without a bulky aftermarket dongle. there is a bluetooth sdk package in the packages folder in the sdk disk image.

I would love to see and app that allowed for landscape typing in SMS. This is a big issue with me and all my friends who have iPhones.

I would like a Spy Cam. Sometimes I go to events where picture taking is not permitted, like the Viper Room for example. I would like a camera app that will snap shots on its own while completely turning off the iPhone's screen. A black screen would do just as well, but powering it down would be oh so much more believable.

I would love to have a screen (or screens) similar to the web apps screens, strictly for speed dials. Nice big buttons for us old blind guys!

Video would be sweet. Creating usergroups for text messaging multiple contacts. Preset phrases/sentences that you can add/edit/delete, and how about custom SmartCase AutoText that you can add/edit/delete.

free does not always translate into poor!!!! You can make millions of dollars using an idea that costs your customers nothing to use, ask the guys at Google! Their service is free for its users and they are not exactly eating porage!

I had an idea today for what I think would be a pretty fricken cool app. A 9 band EQ overlay that would have a transparent background so you can still see the album art behind it, accessible while listening to the iPod. You would be able to slide your finger up and down on each of the 9 bands to make custom adjustments to your EQ, then the ability to save that as a custom setting. I would love this as well as the ability to access the stock EQ settings right from that album art page, instead of going into settings to find it.

I've been thinking it would be cool to incorporate a photo viewer into google maps.

When visiting a landmark or other country or whatever, you would have a pin dropped in that location to mark where you have been and then you could have all your pictures taken in that location under that pin. And maybe when you highlight it, it would show one picture that was taken there to help you remember why you put it there.

Just an idea, sounds simple in my head. hehe:laugh2:
