iphone prepaid edge help

ok so i go an unlocke iphone and t mobile sidekick prepaid plan with internet and texting for 1$ a day everything works except the edge i tryed puting in the settings wap.voicestream.com as the APN and it still didnt i know to other prepaid plans wont work but t-mobile rep told me it should work because this sidekick prepraid plan has the internet edge network like the regular plans
please help i would realy apreciate it thanks:laugh2:
