1.1.4 JB and Summerboard

I have 1.1.4 and am about to Jailbreak. I'm on a mac. Which program to jailbrake should I use and how do I get summerboard to work b/c i have read ppl can't get it to work.

use ziphone summerboard works but you have to install the 1.1.4 apps patch before you install summerboard then uninstall the patch when your done, and of course set permissions to at least 775 for all functions to work. all this is explained more in depth in some of the topics close to the top of the forum.

I did the jailbreak. I installed the AppSupport Patch(1.1.4). I try installing Summerboard but it says 1.1.3 is required for this version of SummerBoard. Any ideas?

uhhh i think you installed the wrong thing, you need to install 1.1.4 Compatibility Patch, found in Tweaks (1.1.4)

What do I need to do to get the Tweaks 1.1.4 folder. I jb'd last night but only have Tweaks folder up to 1.1.3.

You need to install all sources in the sources place

add source: ride4.org/shai.xml
install "all sources" you get like 94 of them
then you'll see it in all packages its near the top because it starts with numbers "1.1.4 apps patch"

You can do it yourself by going into /System/Library/CoreService and editing the SystemVersion.plist.

Now you have to go to sources in the apps and install from there. You did half of the job needed.

That is a link on how to do it, and I have SMB prefs on my home screen now but for some reason none of the themes will work. I'll try downloading a new one and see what happens.

OK I installed a theme from the source in the link and it didnt work either, I don't think that the "fix" in that link works. If anyone can confirm that it would be great.

I used MobileTerminal. WinSCP should be able to do the same. Look in the Applications directory for SMBPrefs.app.

I'm using iphonebrowser, what am i trying to do once i go into apps\smbprefs?

I just tried to get it to work and for some reason this time it worked and i have my icons back.

I have tried all this and I am getting know where, when I add the source reop or the other one riders they show up as uncategorized and when I go to install there is no folder called tweeks 1.1.4 or iSapazio Unlock Tools
What am i doing wrong, do i need to install another source or program first, when I had 1.1.3 i had a program called SSH with its icon on my phone I have installed open ssh and it is in the source folder but no icon on my phone???
Help please this is driving me nuts
