HELP HELP!

ok so i went with everyones approval to update my phone using a laptop itunes,, not syncd with my phone..
i downloaded the update and it got nearly done with updating process then BAM!
error 6 or some bullstuff* and couldnt update.
now it says itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode i must restore... ooookk thats great!
but if i restore i lose my stuff b'c my music isnt syncd to this laptop
riiight? any help appreciated thanks.!
its showing the *plug into itunes* on the screen and nothing else..
im happy with just going back to 1.1.3 for now as long as i get my stuff* back

yes and no..
I was never able to sync my $30 I spent on itunes from the phone, b/c my laptop is trash. So when I did the update/restore I lost my music I payed for.. I dont know how to get it back
but thanks for asking... If u have a fix for that I would appreciate it

do you manually manage music on your phone? Because if you do, then you have to tell your computer to manually transfer all of your purchased music back to your computer.
