When the SDK is released, how long will it take for us to be able to get some apps?

no one knows for sure. It could be a couple of days to a couple of weeks. Take a look at the article located in the countdown to sdk thread. It will explain some of the aspects and why it could take some time.

I could be totally wrong but I would bet that Apple has been working with a few developers of apps they deem high-quality, high-impact and that these apps could be ready very, very soon after the release of the SDK.

I cannot confirm for sure but I can say that a certain app that I LOVE seems to be coming native to the iPhone as their support didn't deny it when I asked a question about my license.

Tell us, tell us, tell us, is it a Georgia Bulldog Customize App?

Jive Talk by Beejive. I LOOOOOOVED this app on the Blackberry and it has been 93% USELESS as a web app on the iPhone. I emailed them a question about my user license if/when there is JT native and they responded with an answer that made me happy.

No date, no formal confirmation but they answered yes to a question that was asked regarding how something would be handled WHEN Jive Talk was native on the iPhone.

That is something that we won't know until it comes.

Well, I'm betting that the SDK has been in use by Apple and a select few for awhile now and they have been writing Apps already (making updates as the SDK goes through the final Development LifeCycles). So if that would hold true and Release 1.1.4 got our Phones ready for SDK written Apps, then those Apps could be available even prior to the SDK being available as general release.

Maybe 1.1.4 looks like a small update that didn't give us anything.....think he could have put in another TimeBomb (something becomes available on such-a-such date.....i.e. Download App from iTunes).

Anyway, just thought I would jump in on the speculation.:2cool:
