Yes it has this feature in update 1.1.3

I guess you don't know about the 1.1.3 update... you can also add icons to your homescreen and the maps feature you can locate your exact location

Yeah just to clarify for you...you must have firmware 1.1.3. If you have a jailbroken phone of an earlier firmware, i believe you can still get group SMS, but it will be an third party application.
