As Tuesday 26th approaches, along with the rumored Apple event, I thought I would start a new thread to build up anticipation and excitement, as there's nothing else going on here at the moment.

were still not sure about the delay, an apple aren't the sort to break a promise (though they did with apple tv 2.0.
I think we will see it on Tuesday.

It has not been confirmed that the SDK will arrive. However, neither has it been confirmed that there will be a delay. The rumor came from BusinessWeek, not Apple.

I'll be quite mad if it doesn't come out on tuesday, i hate when companies say its coming out on a certain date and then can't do it. they let everyone down, and build a bad reputation for themselves. If they say its going to come out a certain date, then they should make that a priority and have it ready a couple days before hand.

yah I agree, they said the end of February, by february 26th. And I'm sure there is a whole lot of work to be done to get the SDK out. After all, they are trying to find a way to give the code to developers AND keep the iPhone/iTouch 100% safe from viruses. I personally would rather wait a couple extra weeks to have that kind of protection on something so valuable and expensive.

They didn't - but many of their events fall on Tuesdays, as do their new releases. And 9to5Mac and TUAW have been reporting an event tentatively scheduled for Tuesday 2/26 ...

They are just gong on the same rumor that everyone else is going on. Just don't be surprised when nothing happens on Tuesday just as nothing has happened on the past two Tuesdays. Apple did say the SDK would be out late February and it is late February but like every other rumpr going around, it may be late as in late March now.

Well ... two things that are not rumors: Jobs said the SDK would be out by the end of February (which is this week) and Apple tend to use Tuesdays as their launching point for things more often that not, and there's only one Tuesday left.

As for not being surprised by a delay, I wouldn't be at all.

I am fully aware that apple has not promised us any particular date in February for the SDK release, however, as we all are aware, they did say we would get it in February and if that doesn't happen, promise or not, i will be let down. I don't think apple will let something this big be delayed outside of the month of February.

On the other hand, just something to think about, when apple delayed leopard did they say it would be released in a certain month and they still pushed it back? Or did they just say it would be released early 07 or whatever...i think the way they make their announcements will have a lot to do with whether there is a delay or not.

Here's something - According to TUAW (http://www.tuaw.com/2008/02/24/tuesdays-coming/), Apple has introduced something every Tuesday since the beginning of the year. This is good evidence that something will come tomorrow. To introduce these new goodies, the Apple Store has been down, and refreshed with something new. So, will we get the SDK with a new iPhone, or maybe new MacBook Pro's?

I work at the NY NY Hotel & Casino in Vegas and we are having people from Apple stay @ my hotel for a week so I had 4 Check in today out of several dosen so Ill keep yall posted. Im gonna get to the bottom and get as much Info as possible as they begin to check in...

Thanks... Yeah I met some guy today from Apple that was surprised that my iPhone is smaller and thiner than standard iPhones. I didnt think hed be surprised lol... But on a serious note it sure does pay working at the front desk of a hotel a whole bunch of Apple employees are staying at. I have complete leverage over how good or bad their stay will be so Im going to try to extract as much information as possible... One guy I think lied to me today and said that they were having a sales meeting... but I dont buy that really cause you dont go to Las Vegas to have a sales meeting... Maybe its some kind of pre-conference meeting or something...

Ok heres what I can gather... from alittle research from some industry contacts... From the 27th to the 29th theres gonna be a "INTERNATIONAL WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS EXPO" at the Las Vegas convention center... Most of the Apple guys are held up here until Fri and Sat so if they announce anything on Tuesday about the iPhone or SDK it'll take place at the convention. Well I suppose cause I dont work Fri or Sat I can go to the convention and see what all the fuss is about and take some pics. AT&T will be there but theres no word if Apples gonna be there or not but who knows... The booth could be just registered to AT&T and Apple could just be there... Who knows... Thats all the info I could dig up...

Yea my moms preg. Right now so he made a Baby UGA web site all decked out with red and black and on the top theres a banner that says "I wanna
