Hey guys, so I just got my 16 gig iPhone today and urgently want to add some custom ringtones to the phone but am having a bit of trouble. I heard that the newest version of garageband has a "send as ringtone" option under share but when I click "search for updates" in my garageband it says 3.0.4 (104.7) is the current version. Anyway, if anyone has an easy method of adding custom ringtones to the iPhone I'd greatly appreciate the advice. Thanks

I no nothing about garageband, but if you do a search there are threads on doing custom ringtones. The procedure is simple but rather lengthly to list. Here is one (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/general-discussion/making-ringtones-using-your-p-c-itunes-and-existing-songs-22116.html) to get you started.

The most current version of Garageband is only available with iLife 08'. And your right you can make ringtones with it. I'm assuming you have a mac, as do I and I made ringtones with version 3.0.4. And heres how: First go to this website and follow these directions on how to make a thirty second clip of a song on Garageband http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=465
*note when it says "send ringtone to iTunes", just click "song to iTunes" instead. After you've done that go here http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/iphone-software/iphone-tone-ringmaker-and-1-1-3-not-compatable-20943.html
and scroll down to KNK's post..he explains how to make the song a ringtone while in iTunes. I have a 16g iPhone too, not jailbroken and as long as you follow those directions to a T, it should work. I've made atleast 10 custom ringtones doing this exact process. Good luck man. Any problems just send me a PM :tounge:
