Delay response after tabbing

I have a problem, hope that someone can help ...
When ever I try to open any progam, it takes longer time than usual. is it a software or hardware problem .... any remedy .... thank you all

Welcome to the forums! Could we get just a little more information...are you jailbroken and what firmware version are you running?

Also have you restarted the phone (hold the sleep/wake button until the red swipe bar appears)? A lot of times a simple reboot of the phone will fix that as well. If you are on a jailbroken phone there are some programs that you might have installed that also may cause it to run slow.
