im currently deciding whether to get an iphone or not caus i dont know if u have to unlock it or not to put it on any o2 sim?

yeah mate! good choice of an iphone lol. u just press cancel when its tryin to activate and it will take u to the home screen where u can put stuff on it so its pretty simple and there is no haking at all just pop in ur new im and ur ready dude!
