iAno = WOW!

Ok, I installed this last night and I have to say WOW-this is really cool! This is as cool as iPhysics!
If you are one of the people that installed Pocket Guitar and thought it was a fun little program, this blows it out of the water. I was shocked.
it takes a little getting used to jumping half scales to play some of my favorite stuff, but it got pretty easy fairly quick.
I give it an A+. Just waiting for a samples database!! or even mic samples! How cool would that be???

Wow, you are a talented individual. Very nice. I'd like to learn how to play that on mine but I don't know how and I can't read musical notes. I played the guitar as a kid for about 6 months and dabbled in some note learning but I never really picked it up and never tried to play on the piano. Any suggestions on how I can learn to play Clocks on my iAno?

Skills! Clocks is one of my favorite songs. Love it.

I'd love to be able to that, but I'm afraid guitar is my only talent in the music department, and PocketGuitar just doesn't cut it for me.

You cannot have the ringer off. It must be on for the audio to work. Yeah silly, but I actually like it that way.

I still cant get audio on 1.1.3 either. Ive tried it with the vibrate off, on and every other setting I could think of and still nothing. I also tried resetting my network settings (as suggested by someone in another thread), and I tried the headphone trick and still nothing.
Any ideas? I really want this app.

A few people on youtube were also asking me to do a slower tutorial version. my web cam is a little blurry, but when I get the chance, i'll take a vid with a digital camera playing it a little bit slower.

Go into Settings/iPod and check your music settings. I read somewhere that some people who have EQ set on have problems with iAno and sound.
I have everything under the Music section turned off and iAno works for me.
That's the only thing that I can think of.

Do you have the sound amplifier installed? If so, uninstall it. Mine sounds perfect; when I play Clocks, it sounds exactly like the original song.

no, i do not have sound amplifier installed. i tried asking about the sound coming from the one speaker in another thread and got some very unhelpful responses. :frown:

even at low volume, the sound coming through the iPhone sounds distorted and like it's cranked up too high. it's really awful.

Unfortunately, the volume is not adjustable. so you get 100% volume everytime.
just out of curiosity, try it with headphones and see if it's blown out or not. If not, then it's possible that your speaker is blown. Might need to return your phone for another....

mine sounds nothing like the youtube videos. anything you suggest? i cant return it since i jailbroke it and unlocked it myself. what should i do? the notes sound nothing like the smoothness in the video

I believe that the phone in the video is connected to a set of speakers, although mine sounds pretty clean on single notes, a little dirty on double notes and slightly goes down from there.

Apparentely not. Just jailbroke and tried installing this - gets stuck at a notice telling me about my sound settings.

EDIT: Got it working. Re-jailbroke and tried again. Perfect! :D

Hey, so I tried just about everything to get this to work on my JB (Ziphone) 1.1.3. No audio from speaker or headphones. Tried changing things around in the Sound pref, etc., uninstalled-reinstalled.....

I can play anything, it's just the layout of the keys only allows for easy access to an octave at a time, which makes playing some songs not so easy.

I couldnt get iAno to work for some reason but the other night I saw Pianist on Installer so I figured I would give that a go. When I installed it the intructions mentioned that it replaces iAno. It works like a charm, I get sound no problem with or without vibrate on. I have to agree with you guys that this app is amazing. Im still trying to get Clocks down, I want to learn some other songs too.
