I keep hereing about that like all day at work... but i have never seen it, and i dont plan to any time soon.

I am thinking that apple being on the slow side with the SDK will try to strong arm the apps. As in all apps must be loaded through itunes and must be approved by apple. Which would mean that no home cooked apps will get installed and only purchased apps will be allow on the phones. like there doing with Itunes and music.

I read about that earlier today. Pretty funny I have to say. I think the new update will be 2.0 anyways.
