1.0.2 to 1.1.3 is it simpler now?

Hi,
Im still using my unlocked iphone on 1.0.2. Is there a simple way of now upgrading to 1.1.3 now cause i'm not a very tech savy person?

I heard of a software called ZiPhone with which u can unlock and upgrade to 1.1.3 with one click. Is that true?

even if my 1.0.2 was unlocked with the first AnySIM? the one that used to mess witht he baseband?

will a restore and upgrade to 1.1.3 via itunes will fix everything and then unlcok with ziphone?

or will i get bricked trying to restore / upgrade?

so let me get this straight.. I use itunes to update my phone from 1.0.2 to 1.1.3 and then i use Ziphone to unlock and jailbreak it?
is this the right way to go about it?

ok.

here is what you do.

restore to 1.1.3, that will do away with 03.14,

and put on 04.03,

then, you can run ZiPhone to jailbreak and activate,

then after that, go into installer, add the source "installer.iClarified.com"

go into install tab

click iClarified,

download and install anySIM 1.3

after that,

run anySIM in AIRPLANE MODE, as with 1.2.1

if you dont run in airplane mode, you will DESTROY your firmware, and will have to restart.

ok , i have a unlocked 1.0.2 as well, i need to do the shift+restore to 1.1.3 and then run ziphone?

do i need to virginize my phone before?

ask yourself. what is a virginize? the rewriting of the baseband.

so, in that sense, you can just press the big restore button on iTunes, (upgrading will fail - just so you know), then use ZiPhone to jailbreak and activate, (I don't think ziphone does BL3.9 unlocking), and use anySIM 1.3 to unlock (RUN IN AIRPLANE MODE).

download anySIM after you have restored to 1.1.3 and jailbroken, with iClarified's installer source. (installer.iclarified.com)

and 1.0.2? my condolences.

AFAIK, ziphone cannot unlock BL 3.9 phones,


and go to 1.1.3. its more stable, and IMO, its faster, and has the wiggly icons.

But i'm still a little confused.. pls excuse if my queries sound silly to u.

Firstly, i dont understand what u mean when u say -

Secondly, after i have updated to 1.1.3 and then run Ziphone, will Installer still be on my phone or will i have to install it again.

Do i need wifi (net access) for this since my edge wont be working if the sim isnt working? Coz i dont have wifi in my office :(

The site u mentioned has a link to the Ziphone software. That's exactly what we are discussing here. The issue is whether it can be used for 1.0.2 firmware phones. Thanks anyway.

What is 03.14 and 04.03? firmware 03.14= 1.02 & 04.03= 1.1.3

thanks for the reply buddy. Just one more thing.. Will Installer already be on my phone after running ziphone on 1.1.3. Also do I require wifi to run installer to install Anysim?

great for all your help guys, but i just realized that my iphone was hardware unlocked, can i still restore to 1.1.3 and use ziphone or does this changes everything.
