ERROR: Package Download Failed...

Can't find host.

I'm trying to download from my AppSnapp installer. Never had this problem before. Does anyone know what this means, and how it can be fixed?

Refresh your sources....try again, I've had this problem quite a few times.

There is a button in installed to refresh sources, I used that and asked me to install an update. Once that update was installed the download errors stopped.

No Worries :) It does refresh your sources, but sometimes it works better to do it manually, I had the exact same problem but it happened with a mislinked app in installer, after I refreshed it worked fine. :)

noooo not "manually". You mean using, say, Fugu?

I'm a novice, so if I can't tap refresh or restore, I'm sunk

you go to the sources tab on the very bottom right of installer and at the top there is a refresh button.

sounds simple enough, but I'm kinda unsure about upgrading to 1.1.3, and jailbreaking. Seems like so many people are having problems.

Whats been your experience?

It's been awesome, went SEEMLESSLY, the only problem I had is with iPhysics, you have to change the permissions on the file, and I have had some experience working on file systems, but the learning curve isn't steep at all, read around, if you have any problems at all its easy to find a solution. Pm me if you have any problems at all, my youtube, locate me feature on google, ringtones, everything worked fine straight after the jailbreak!!

I had this problem and found a link advising to "Run installer, goto 'Sources' update sources that you use!

The link to some of the sources changed recently.

I'm having the same problems, i have downloaded a few things and all of a sudden it can't find the host, refreahing doesn't help either it says refreshed failed.

Check that u dont have anything in que, i had the same promblem it seens that i had a download waiting in qued, after i removed from que everything was fine. Hope it help

i dont think that can check what you have in queue, just try clearing anything in queue and see if that help

I have tired that too.. nothing in que... i still cant refresh sources.. :-(

I tried everything myself with no luck, the thing is I was able to install earlier after upgrading to 1.1.4. Now, no matter what I click on, it gives me the same error.

I can't even reinstall BSD Sub. What the heck is this all about? I don't know what to do.

It doesn't give me the choise to reinstall with community sources, it does with Bsd subsystem, installer 3.01 but then i cant find the host to download.

Quick question... When yall jailbroke did you set up a new partnership between the phone and computer. I.e new name and everything or did u use the old one??

i don't know.. I didn't jail break it, I had it up graded by someone and then ifact i think the problem arises from when i wanted to use the ibrickr and connected my phone, Itunes recogonizied my phone with the same name as when i had the old version.

I used a new name, including a new pc that had never synched with the Iphone before. I cannot install customize no matter how many times I try.

@ jojo. A new partnership should. Clear up allot of your problems if you let a friend do it I would sit down read the jailbreaking tutorials and do it again myself. Its beter that way so u know what exzactly is being don to your iPhone.

@ jfagundo. I would do a serch for 1.1.4 customize. There are several threads here on the forum devoted spacifically to this problem with some mixed results from the fixes. I'm on 1.1.3 so I obviously can't help you on this as I have no expierience with working with the 1.1.4.

I have tried to do that i sync with iphone and infact it was not on there. But then i go and reinstall from phone and it still gives me no host, i try and refresh and it wont do that either...

I have found out how todo the new partnership with itunes... and thats fine... it still wont download, rinstall or resfresh... if i try with ibrickr the error gives me " unable to enable SSL" I dont know if that has anything to do with it..???? I have no idea what the SSL is... :-(
